Royalty, we expect to see them in a new outfit every time they step out, but that’s not actually true of The Queen, and certainly not true of Kate either.
As far back as the 1960s The Queen re-wore her custom-made gowns to high profile events, and in 2020 Princess Beatrice borrowed a Norman Hartnell dress for her wedding.
Believe it or not, The Queen is quite thrifty and likes to adapt her clothes as much as possible to given them multiple outings, especially if the media has seen her in an outfit more than once. So, she often re-wears her outfits on private holidays and when she visits Balmoral or Sandringham.
As far as her handbags are concerned, she is very loyal to the British brand Launer and has been using their handbags for decades, even having her favourites repaired.
Below are 11 of our favourite re-worn Royal looks.
A blue floral dress with matching hat for her tour of India and then again 6 years later.
She has been seen several times in this fuchsia coat dress.
A floral dress for a visit to Malta, before being seen in the gardens at Buckingham Palace
A visit to Malta and also to Ascot.
The perfect outfit for Christmas Day and an engagement in London 2 years later.
A popular outfit of choice for Her Majesty, she has worn this one several times, here she is at Ascot and Wimbledon.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge wedding and visit to Australia.
Always a fan for a block of colour, she wears lime green for the 70th Anniversary of D-Day landings and again at Ascot 3 years later.

The Queen has worn this coat no less than 3 times including Donald Trump’s visit and at Trooping the Colour.
Worn on both occasions with her family, The Duchess of Cambridge and then again to visit Prince William at Salisbury.
We’re excited to see what Her Majesty will be wearing this coming Friday for her very special Platinum Jubilee, no doubt she will look absolutely spectacular… did you notice in many the photos over the years, she chooses to wear her trusty Gucci loafers!
