We were delighted to attend the very first revival of The Good Clothes Show at NEC Birmingham on 20 – 22nd September! The three day event was rooted on sustainability and attended by traders, speakers and visitors who care about the impact fast fashion is having on our planet. We recreated a mini version of our boutique in Prestbury Village Cheshire!
The event not only had many secondhand and sustainable retailers and manufactures of slow fashion, it was host to a range of speakers as well as an fabulous catwalk show and many workshops.
We were delighted to chat to Patrick Grant, presenter of The Sewing Bee and campaigner for sustainable fashion through his own sustainable fashion business Community Clothing
We have a signed copy of Patrick’s book LESS. How to stop buying so much rubbish: How having fewer, better things can make us happier which we intend to give away to one of our lucky followers.
Plus, it was the perfect location for us to draw the WINNER of our very first charity handbag raffle in aid of The Alzheimer’s Society, where we had a rather excited winner who scooped a brand new Chanel Handbag of her dreams live on our social media!
